Eastern Equatoria State Legislative Assembly in Torit sat for deliberations today without one Member of Parliament.
Last Tuesday, the State Legislative Assembly lost Marcelo Dominic Otwari, reducing the population of the legislators in the August House.Marcelo Otwari who died of high blood pressure in Juba where was buried on Thursday at his home in Torit town and his lost has created a vacuum in the state Assembly.
Eastern Equatoria State Legislative Assembly Clerk, Adelio Kawu Kawa said the death of the late Otwari is a great loss to the Assembly.
He said the late was one of the elders and experienced members in the August House.
Kawu said now six members of the State Assembly have died of different diseases since 2005.
The State Transitional Constitution requires that the gap be filled within 60 days.
