A new political party of Christian inspiration being presented in Juba is proposing to rename South Sudan.
Sudanile Christian Democratic Party or SCDP is carrying out its inaugural ceremony at Nyakuron Cultural Centre in Juba.Chairperson Manyang Parek wrote in the SCDP Manifesto that the party is funded on good traditional norms and inculturated Christian values.
He said the SCDP is a party that is not just using words for political gains but aims at a nation built on good Christian morals.
Mr Manyang advocates for South Sudan to be renamed Republic of Sudanile and its citizens called Sudanilean.
