Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit, urged citizens to consider this Easter a period of resurrection of the Sudan, by choosing God-fearing leaders in the upcoming elections and end tribal differences
Johnson Akio Mutek made the call during his Easter message to the Christians in the Diocese.
Bishop Akio said that this Easter is special in the lives of the people of the Sudan and in the history of the Country, as it coincides with the first multiparty elections for teh last 24 years.
He observed that the elections symbolize the resurrection from the dead, urging that people should choose life.
Bishop Akio cautioned the people against taking destructive steps that lead to ruining lives.
He said people should strive to be a source of light and inspiration for others by voting for responsible leaders.
