Today Dr. Ann Itto, Deputy Secretary General of SPLM Southern Sector, told Sudan Catholic Radio News that about 2,000 voters were missing from the voters’ register in one county of Warrap state.
Ms Jersa Kide Barsaba, Coordinator for the States of Southern Sudan High Election Committee clarified that even more names were missing. According to her a total of 8,000 names were dropped from the register, but she assured that the issue is being addressed and will be rectified by April 5.
Elections in Southern Sudan are scheduled from April 11 to April 13. Arrangements are underway to set up the polling centers all over the ten states of Southern Sudan.
