The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba urged citizens to remain calm despite the growing confusion surrounding the elections.
Archbishop Paolino Lokudu Loro told the media this morning that any use of political tricks is bad and told that in the face of so much uncertainty people should be calmed.
The Archbishop of Juba said any attempt to jeopardize the process of elections and the referendum is evil, and fraud and cheating are evil.
But the resurrection of Jesus has broken the power of all who are planning evil. Archbishop Lokudu added that all these evil plans have been conquered by the resurrection of Jesus.
The Archbishop called upon citizens to have faith in order to contain the situation, and said that Jesus Christ died because of such situations as in the Sudan.
The Archbishop wished the public a happy Easter.
