JOURNALISTS OPERATIONS BASE ON NATION GOVERNANCE

Central Equatoria State minister for Information and Culture said operations of the journalists in any country is based on how its government treat the subject.

Francis Barson Yuasa said a good government is tested by the operation of the journalists in that particular country, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said it will be easy for people to know whether the government is democratic or autocratic.

Mr Barson appealed to journalists to cooperate with the government to avoid inconvenience.

He called on journalists to cover government activities so that people are well informed.

Mr Barson encouraged the journalists to move to government offices to get out information to the people.

He blamed some journalists for writing inaccurate information that caused problems.

Mr Barson called on the journalists to avoid confrontation with the top government officials.

He made the remarks on Saturday during the graduation ceremony of the fourth batch ofÊ journalists who underwent six months training at Bakhita Radio.
