Torit was chosen to host the celebration marking Norwegian Church Aid’s 40 years of service provision in South Sudan.
NCA started working in South Sudan in 1972 following the Addis Ababa Agreement that ended Anyanya One.NCA-Torit Programme Manager Victor Nawi told Radio Emmanuel that Torit was chosen to host the celebration because NCA started its activities in the capital of Eastern Equatoria.
He said NCA also operates in Warrap State in the areas of health, education, water and sanitation.
Mr Nawi says NCA suppoted development activities for the people of South Sudan throughout the war.
