Media people vowed to take to the streets if the media bills were not passed into laws.
Juba Monitor Editor Alfred Taban told journalists to pressure the Parliament to approve the Media Laws using newspapers and radios.He said if MPs failed to approve the laws, journalists should take to the streets and rally for the bills to be enacted.
The Chairman of South Sudan Human Rights Commission, Lawrence Korbandy, warned journalists that struggle for freedom of expression was an ongoing process.
He said when the media laws are approved South Sudan will have a free and regulated media environment.
Mr Taban and Justice Korbandy were speaking during the solidarity conference on the media draft bills organized by AMDISS, the Association for Media Development in South Sudan, on Tuesday in Juba.
