The residents of Yei Payam, in Central Equatoria, have two weeks to clean around their houses and businesses.
Payam Public Health Officer Ojilim Samuel told Radio Easter that the authorities will conduct a sanitation inspection in two weeks in residential, commercial and other public places in the payam.
Mr Ojilim said the sanitation check is always done three times a year.
He said prevention is the better cure and people should clean their places to keep them healthy.
Vendor Solomon Kalu said it was not good to accumulate the garbage in the town because it brings diseases to people and lives the place dirty.
One woman who spoke off record said the public health office is doing a great job by collecting the garbage in Yei.
She added that the payam administration should collect the rubbish every other day.
The mid-November inspection is the third of this year.
