Most opposition parties say they pullet out of the elections invoking fear of rigging and insecurity.

The announcement came after crisis talks hosted by US envoy for the Sudan, Scott Gration, this afternoon in Khartoum, BBC reported.

Umma party leader and candidate for president Sadiq al-Mahdi, the Democratic Unionist Party and the Communist party have all said they are out of the elections race.

Hassan al-Turabi confirmed that Popular Congress Party candidates would run for votes.
