The Federation of International Football Association or FIFA has sent a delegation to Juba to resolve some disputes within SSFA, the South Sudan Football Association.
SSFA has provisionally suspended President Chabur Goc Alei for forging a letter to the President of Confederation of African Football (CAF) in September informing that the board of directors suspended the vice president. The board of directors in return suspended Mr Goc for breaking the Association’s regulations and handed a copy of his suspension to both FIFA and CAF.
Vice President Yuhanis Musa Pouk told Bakhita Radio this morning that a delegation from FIFA is coming to Juba to help SSFA to overcome the stalemate.
He explained that FIFA does not interfere in internal affairs but it is confused with the contradictory information it got from the SSFA.
Mr Musa said the FIFA delegates would check SSFA’s decision making processes and advise the association on the best way forward.
The FIFA delegation arrives in Juba on Tuesday.
FIFA senior Development officer for Africa Francesco Bruscoli in a previous visit to Juba urged the SSFA to unite in order to pursue its development with FIFA’s assistance.
FIFA offered a one million-dollar package to build SSFA’s headquarters plus a technical centre for managers and referees.
