A large number of Muslims in Kauda, Nuba Mountains, are celebrating Eid al-Adha, the Feast of the Sacrifice.
The head of Muslims in Kauda, Al-Imam Ismail Alukure Hissen Kapi, told Voice of Peace that it was an important feast in which all Muslims came together to ask God for his grace and help.He said Muslims were praying for peace in the country as destruction and panic were experienced by civilians at the critical moment of war.
Kauda Mosque spokesperson Abdul Gader Arnu Kapi pleaded for God’s forgiveness and stability in South Kordofan.
He added that in the Eid al-Adha was a great festival and Muslims were invited to pray for God’s healing and stability.
The Head of Muslims in Kauda said the feast would continue for five days.
