Western Equatoria Agriculture Minister has encouraged farmers to prosper through agricultural activities.
West Yugule said the state has a fertile land and it is the collective responsibility of the government, the agro-partners and local farmers to produce enough food for the State, Anisa Radio reported.Mr Yugule acknowledged the passion of the local communities towards farming and ensured that the available resources in the state should be used to boost food production.
The minister was talking during the second agricultural show on Tuesday in Yambio.
Farmers from all counties brought a variety of their products to sell during the occasion.
Someone from Nzara presented a huge fresh cassava weighing almost five Kilos and three meters long.
Other counties brought pineapples, bananas, maize, groundnuts, pumpkins, fish and vegetables.
Thee people who brought the best good will go home with precious prizes.
