Jur River County headquarter administration, in Western Bahr El Ghazal State, is moving to Nyin-akok, East of Wau, and all security departments will be in the new site by Monday afternoon.
The decision to relocate Jur River County Headquarters follows the creation of Wau Municipality, Voice of Hope reported.Jur River County Commissioner John Arop Apia said the headquarters did not move yet to the new location due to heavy rain.
He added that all administration departments are ready to relocate to Nyin-akok after he got the okay from chiefs, intellectuals and the community.
Mr Arop appealed to the community to keep cooperating with the authorities for the positive development of the area.
He said the relocation will bring services closer to the people and the first results will appear by next year.
The commissioner urged staff and residents to work hard for the improvement of Jur River County with the assistance of the state government.
