Western Bahr El Ghazal Council of Ministers in its Tuesday’s sitting resolved to offer a total area of green land for investment to boost the state’s economy.
The area at the centre of Wau runs from Lokoloko to Kuburi site and has been used for cultivation by local farmers for quite a long time.State Minister for Information Derik Alfred Uya told Voice of Hope that investors were invited to tender for a 50 by 40 square meters piece of land to build hotels, supermarkets, malls or public parks.
He said the leasing for 30 years cost 200 thousand Pounds.
Mr Alfred said the offer aimed at increasing service delivery in Western Bahr El Ghazal.
He added that the Cabinet decided to get rid of employees with vague documents and ghost names from the payroll before September salaries are paid next week.
