The Presbyterian Church in Nasir, Upper Nile State, has postponed the celebrations of its hundredth anniversary citing delayed planning among different parishes.

Pastor Moses Gatbel Pout told Internews Network that some churches have not completed tasks assigned to them in preparation for the celebrations.

He said 31 tukuls to accommodate guests will be completed soon.

Rev Pout called upon all members of the Presbyterian Church to give a hand in the preparations.

He said that each community has some tasks assigned: far away communities build toilets and those nearby have to help with construction work.

Rev Pout disclosed that many building materials have arrived in Nasir.

The celebrations are scheduled to place on November 18.
