The Governor of Western Equatoria State addressed his cabinet at the State Secretariat on the cooperation agreements signed between South Sudan and Sudan last month.

Governor Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro briefed the cabinet members and the parliamentarians after he returned from the governors meeting with the president of the republic held in Juba last week, Anisa FM reported.

He informed that the national assembly endorsed the agreements signed between Salva Kiir and Omar Al Bashir on September 27 in Addis Ababa.

Mr Bakosoro said the state and county authorities were mandated to implement the agreements.

He singled out the four freedoms agreement as a contentious issue that needs special attention.

Mr Bakosoro urged all citizens to be watchful because some people want to incite destabilization and the country is not interested in war anymore.

He reassured the public that by the time oil flows again – probably in December or January – things will improve.

Mr Bakosoro added that soon a team from Western Equatoria State will go to Northern Bahr el Ghazal State to share on the agreement on borders especially the demilitarization of Mile 14.
