MSF is conducting Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) in Leer County to detect levels of malnutrition among children under five.

MUAC helps health officials detect moderate, acute and growing indicators of malnutrition, Internews reported.

The screening is done as a result of increasing malnutrition in the area.

MSF outreach Michael Pal said the screening started on Friday in three centres of Leer County.

He urged the parents to bring their children to the nearest health station for screening before the program closed.
