Church formation houses and institutions are places of encounter with Jesus Christ and should not be looked at as factories for producing pastoral agents.
Auxiliary Bishop Daniel Adwok Kur of Khartoum told CRN that formation houses are places for young men and women to start their vocational journey.Bishop Adwok said priesthood is a journey: once people are engaged in pursuing their vocation they need God’s grace to guide them.
He added that priests who left priesthood may have had mixed up motivations for their vocation.
Bishop Adwok was commenting on the priests who abandoned active ministry after the singing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
