Eastern Equatoria caretaker governor has urged citizens to report any violations of election regulations to the police.

Johnson Juma Okot said lawbreakers should not be generalized along political, ethnic and religious affiliations.

He added offenders should be handled as individuals responsible for their crimes.

Mr. Okot also encouraged political candidates to maintain communication with his office on issues affecting them during the campaign promising to address their complaints.

Mr. Okot said his duty is to prepare the state for the elections and leave a legacy when the incoming leaders are sworn-in.

The caretaker governor was speaking at the closure of a two-day interparty and independent candidates dialogue conference in Torit.
