An Eastern Equatoria minister has called on citizen to stand together in order to improve security in the state.
Public Administration and Internal Affairs Minister Claudio Suleiman Liling said security is one of the key ingredients for development, Radio Emmanuel reported.He decried the inadequate number of police, judges and chiefs and poor roads as major factors that have greatly hindered development in most difficult places in the state.
Mr Liling called upon citizens, development partners, NGOs and church organizations to co-operate and work together with security personnel in order to improve security in the state.
The minister cautioned politicians never to use their posts to incite people to violence but promote peaceful co-existence among the communities.
Mr Liling encouraged the elites to give good example and act as guidelines and role models in order to promote peace.
