South Korea has sent seven containers with materials to build a new hospital and a secondary school in Tonj South County of Warrap State.

Project manager Mabior Achen told Don Bosco FM that the containers were sent by Fr John Lee Foundation, an initiative organized by the Korean Government in collaboration with Tonj South County.

Mr Mabior said the construction materials will be used to build a new hospital in Tonj and rebuild Mayom Abun secondary school that was named Fr John Lee secondary school.

The South Korean cargo contained also solar panels and other important items.

Mr Mabior said the County authorities have to build a visitor’s centre to house 20 South Korean engineers and other specialized builders in November to start the constructions.

Fr John Lee Foundation honours the South Korean Salesian medical doctor and priest who worked in Tonj until he died, aged 47, of a chronic disease.
