Citizens and graduates alike expressed happiness following the graduation of the first batch of cadets from South Sudan Police College.
One hundred and nine police cadets, who concluded their training at Dr John Garang Memorial Academy in Rejaf East, were graduated on Monday at Juba Football Stadium.Sandra Banks Ð who was at the stadium to witness the graduation of a cousin Ð told CRN that she was proud that South Sudan graduated its first batch of police cadets.
She said she was very proud of her cousin.
Ms Banks added that she hoped what people said about corruption in the organized forces was not true or at least that her cousin would do the same.
Graduate Akon Makot Ð who was trained at Kabali Training Centre in Uganda Ð said he was excited that the graduation came after three years of hard work.
He added that it was a struggle to join the Police College to serve the citizens as they demanded.
Graduate Stella George Ladu, one of the students dismissed from Rabat National University in Khartoum, said she thanked her country for accepting them in the College.
She said she was happy that they finally graduated.
Officer George added that it was a great achievement that the police cadets graduated as the first batch in the South Sudan.
