Journalists from Upper Nile Stat attended a training session to be ready to report responsibly and accurately the general elections due for April 11 to 13.
The three-day workshop took place in Malakal and was attended by 45 local journalists from the printed, radio and television media sectors, Radio Voice of Love reported.Moyiga Nduru, one of the trainers, presented the history of Sudanese journalists and the dilemmas the professionals of information face today.
The representative from the State Ministry of Information and Communications told journalists during the closing ceremony that they have the responsibility to report with honesty and to tell the stories of ordinary people.
Sister Elena Ballati, directress of Voice of Love, wished the journalists well in their elections coverage.
The training was sponsored by Norwegian People’s Aid.
