Eastern Equatoria Minister for Education is worried of receiving information that deadline of Egyptian scholarship to South Sudan students is next Saturday.
Michael Lopuke Lotyam told Radio Emmanuel that students from the state might not benefit like the previous year.He received a letter from the ministry of Higher Education in Juba on the scholarship on Tuesday after about a week since it was written.
Mr Lopuke explained that the scholarships offered are mainly for students who studied in Arabic pattern.
The Minister is worried because he received the information for students to deliver applicants forms on Tuesday.
He fears that the information is unlikely to reach the entire interested student in the state.
Lopuke said Eastern Equatoria state failed to secure students for scholarship on Egypt in similar manner.
He added that out of 15 positions offered to Eastern Equatoria state, there was no confirmation that sons and daughters of the state.
Minister Lopuke vowed to follow up the matter to avoid some other people benefiting from shares of Eastern Equatoria state.
