The state local government minister has called on the Pojulu Community to immediately select someone to replace the late Tereka Shadarak as County Commissioner.
Alberto Pitya Rodentore told CRN that the unexpected death of Commissioner Tereka has left a very serious vacuum that needs to be filled immediately.He said it was very important for the Pojulu community to sit down after the mourning period and choose somebody to be appointed to replace late Tereka Shadarak.
The minister stressed that it was very important to make an immediate replacement to show how mature the community is.
Mr Pitya said the transition needs to be done in an orderly manner and people have to work together.
He added that he believed that the Pojulu community had elites that could do very well.
Tereka Shadarak’s body was taken Monday morning to Lainya.
He will be buried in his home village in Mundu boma on Tuesday.
