The Governor of Central Equatoria has condemned wrong information circulated in Juba about his health and his death.

Before his arrival in Juba last week, rumors spread that Clement Wani Konga had died in Germany on treatment.

The Governor organized thanksgiving prayer on Saturday for his safe return from Germany, Bakhita Radio reported.

Governor Konga said every society has good and bad people, including liars and wizards.

He accused the people who circulated the rumors about his death of wanting to take his place illegally.

Governor Konga said he has forgiven all people who wished his death.

He announced that he is no longer lame, but he had to use a wheelchair for a while until the operated knee heals completely.

The Governor jokingly said he was ready to play football and stand in parade with the police and army.

Vice President Riek Machar Teny, who attended the gathering, condemned gossipers, urging citizens to allow elected officials to complete their term of office peacefully.

He said power struggles would not help unite the people of South Sudan.
