Hepatitis B is a serious killer in South Sudan and the national health authorities are seeking vaccines to protect health workers.

National Deputy Health Minister Yatta Lori told CRN Saturday that Hepatitis C is not common in South Sudan but Hepatitis B is killing many people in the country.

He said Hepatitis B vaccine is only available at a private clinic in Juba but the ministry was working to gat vaccines for health workers and hopefully for the general public.

Juba Medical Complex charges 150 Pounds for the three mandatory doses of the vaccine, taken over a three-month period.
