Yei River County Education Department Wednesday morning held a one-day conference with the private schools in the county to discuss management and procedures.
County Education Director Charles Lumori said the private schools in the county need proper management, Radio Easter reported.He added that the establishment of private schools and the government policy were the two major issues under discussion.
Mr Lumori said individuals, groups, associations, NGOs and faith groups could run private schools.
More than 60 representatives from private Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools attended the conference
County Commissioner David Juma Agostino was also present.
