Non-government organizations and UN agencies should recruit qualified South Sudanese nationals in senior management positions.

Undersecretary of Labour and Industrial Relations Hellen Achiro Lotara told CRN that a number of South Sudanese who returned from Sudan and from abroad have enough experience to take senior management positions.

She called for a collective effort to develop South Sudan without sidelining nationals.

Ms Achiro called on security companies to pay better salaries to the nationals providing security services.

She called on the providers to bridge the salary gap between expat managers and nationals working close to them to curb discrimination.

South Sudanese local staffs in non-governmental organizations, especially in private security companies, receive lower salaries in Pounds than international staffs who are paid in Dollars.
