The national minister of Interior Tuesday morning inaugurated the new building that houses the Headquarters of South Sudan Fire Brigade in Juba.
Alison Monani Magaya told cheerful fire brigade officers at the new premises that they should be disciplined and follow their daily duties diligently, Bakhita Radio reported.He urged officers to get better organized with daily orders in the new HQ in order to reflect discipline.
Mr Magaya said people oppose the screening of the fire brigade forces because many substituted dead officers by their children or widows to receive the salaries.
The minister insisted that screening must go on in order to professionalize the Fire Brigade.
Mr Magaya urged the Fire Brigade officers to be disciplined and perform their duties to the best of their capacity.
