Tuberculosis is gradually increasing in the Tonj South County of Warrap state.
The alert comes from Michael Yach who works at Don Bosco Clinic in Tonj.He told Don Bosco FM that the TB ward has 36 patients.
Dr Yach said the bacteria is spreading due to ignorance and bad practices including sharing cigarettes, sleeping with patients in unventilated rooms and drinking milk that was not boiled.
He lamented that the TB ward does not have a feeding program for the patients.
Dr Yach advised people to stop sharing tobacco, shisha and boil milk to avoid getting TB.
He urged the Government to supply food for TB patients and enough rooms and beds for admission.
