The staff working in all departments of Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese travelled Wednesday to Mupoi to continue to clean the site for the Centenary Celebration on December 12.

Human Resource Manager Joseph Ziazia Kanido led the team. He told Anisa FM that the staffs in the diocese were travelling to Mupoi to contribute to the preparations for the Centenary Celebration.

Mupoi was the first Catholic Church established by the Comboni Missionaries in Western Equatoria in 1912.

Mr Kanido said the team was expected to work as one body to clear the site for the celebration.

He added that they will organize a special place to host guests during the celebrations.

Mr Kanido said the trip to Mupoi was also a pilgrimage for the staff members to prepare spiritually for the Centenary Celebration.

He said the team will stay in Mupoi for three days.

Mr Kanido urged all Christians to mobilize themselves and go to Mupoi to continue with the general preparations to make the place ready for the Centenary Celebration.
