Muslims leaders Monday toured institutions in Yei River County as they celebrated Eid-al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan.
Sheikh Saidi Juma told Radio Easter that the visit to civil institutions and churches aimed to familiarize Muslims and Christians to be able to build the new country.He said the time has come for all people to forget what happened in the past.
Sheik Juma urged Muslims and Christians to unite and forget their differences.
Yei Diocese secretary general Emmanuel Lodongo said he wished to encourage young Muslim and Christian to cultivate truth and freedom to be genuine heralds of justice and peace.
He called on the youths to build a culture that respects the dignity and the rights of every citizen.
The Muslim delegation visited Yei Civil Hospital, the county commissioner’s residence, Yei Prison, Episcopal Church of Sudan and the Catholic Church.
