Foreigners living in Tonj South County of Warrap state are complaining of lack of respect and mistreatment.
Tonj South County health authorities passed a decree mandating compulsory AIDS tests for those running restaurants, tea places and food stalls.Restaurant worker Naga Immaculate told Don Bosco FM that she was badly harassed by the police.
Miss Naga said her test was negative but she feared that if it were positive should would be ashamed in public.
She added that when street kids steal things from businesspeople the local police refuses to open any case, abusing foreign nationals instead.
She also complained of random beatings.
Antacia Afai from Yei complained that while Tonj residents paid 30 pounds for the test, Equatorians and foreigners had to pay 40.
She said she was not happy because there was discrimination in the area.
Ms Afai, who is pregnant, said she was pushed with no consideration for her state.
She called on people to avoid discrimination and mistreatment and work together for the good of the country.
Foreigner nationals urged residents and government officials to consider them as one family as they are all Africans.
