Humanitarian organizations have been using motorbikes and bicycles to carry assistance to people in need because heavy rains made roads impassable for vehicles.
United Nations Office for Humanitarian Coordination weekly report said the organizations have delivered aid to some 7,000 displaced people in Jaac, Warlang and Rumaker in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.The report said over 1,000 school exercise books and medical supplies were delivered to Jaac and Warlang.
It added that humanitarian organizations are concerned about disease outbreaks due to stagnant water in several settlements.
Water, sanitation and hygiene partners continue to monitor the situation.
