The US administration said today that it will provide an additional 15 million dollars to the UN refugees’ agency to assist Sudanese people in South Sudan and Ethiopia.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made the announcement this morning in Juba during a short visit to South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.She said her government has given more than 50 million US dollars to address the humanitarian crisis of Blue Nile and South Kordofan refugees in South Sudan and Ethiopia.
Ms Clinton was speaking today with journalists in Juba after she met with President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
The US secretary of state is on an 11-day tour to Senegal, South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and South Africa.
