The Catholic University of South Sudan is offering one-month courses in English and Mathematics to the incoming students at its main campus in Juba.
Bakhita Radio talked to Salwa Hamid Hassan, one of the new entries. She said the courses were important for the new students because they help them remember subjects taught in lower classes.She added that sometimes it is difficult to remember the old programmes at university level.
Julius Mono said the lecturers are good because they give the essentials of the subjects.
He added that the course will prepare the new students well for their first year semester.
Khadija Ali said the English course will help her much because she comes from an Arabic background.
Over 400 students are taking part in the course that began last month and will end on August 16.
