Yei River County Commissioner has urged believers to meet once a month on a mass prayer for the good of the region.
Juma David Augustine said the prayers should be held at Yei’s Freedom Square every month, Radio Easter reported.He urged all the interdenominational committees to get together to organize the prayer sessions.
The Commissioner said the prayer would be for the orphans and the disadvantaged, for a peaceful living and productivity.
Mr Juma said the mass prayers should not divide the different denominations in the county.
The commissioner made the statement Monday during the celebration of Martyrs Day in Yei.
