WFP CONDUCTS FOOD FOR EDUCATION TRAINING IN KUAJOK

World Food Programme has on Tuesday started conducting Food for Education operational training in Kuajok, Warrap State.

WFP Coordinator Martin Madut Mourwel said the training is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of General Education and Instruction managers on food for education and management.

he said Another aim is to enhance responsibilities and accountability in implementing Food for Education.

Madut said the Programme has planned for 12 activities to carry out this year.

He said the plans include take-home rations to 40,000 girls in grades 3-8, capacity building, food assistance to national teachers’ training institute, promotion and support of school garden

The training drew all the observed government departments, non-governmental organisations, government representatives from six counties of Warrap State
