The President of South Sudan and the Minister of General Education on Wednesday visited Usratuna Basic School to see the educational policy of the School.
Salva Kiir Mayardit said that he had been hearing about Usratuna Basic School performing best among many schools in Central Equatorial State.He said he is so impressed of the good performance of the school.
President Kiir added that good foundation of education shows that the new foundation of the nation is built.
He praised the presentation of the pupils and thanked a young boy who sang the national anthem paragraph by paragraph.
The General Education minister Joseph Ukel saidÊ Usratuna Basic School has implemented some of the policy of quality education.
He said the presentation given by the pupils show that English is being used as a medium for instruction.
Mr Ukel added that the ministry of General Education is now taking English as the medium of instruction and Arabic will be optional.
President Kiir donated five bulls to the pupils as a gift for their celebration.
