A woman voter said that she is “confused and in the dark” on how to vote and even whom to vote for in the forth coming elections scheduled for April 11.

Mary Yar was speaking on behalf of women at Cuei Cok, Rumbek East Country last Saturday, during a campaign rally organized by Gordon Maker Abol, an independent candidate for the position Legislative Assembly, Lakes State, Radio Good News reported.

Ms. Yar said some politicians were poisoning voters against voting for those who have returned from Khartoum and are seeking leadership positions at community level.

She added that this negative campaign was creating confusion.

Ms. Yar explained that some of those returning from Khartoum have roots in the community, symbolized by the graves of their parents and ancestors.

However, the women representative expressed her joy in seeing those seeking for leadership positions come down to the ordinary people like herself.

In his address at the rally, Mr. Gordon Maker appealed to voters to consider him the best person to represent their interests at the Lakes State Assembly.

Cuei Cok Payam has some 2,982 registered voters and will have 12 polling stations.
