Juba authorities are starting today an operation to free the city’s streets of heavy vehicles and car sales and park them in a proper place.
Deputy Mayor David Lokonga told Bakhita Radio over the phone that the City Council wants to organize the parking of heavy vehicles in the city from today.He said the Council prepared a place to park lorries and for car sellers in order to free the streets of Juba.
Mr Lokonga said the police, traffic officers and administrative officers would be in the streets to ensure that all heavy vehicles were moved to a place in the Yei Road.
He added that the operation intends to strengthen security and leave room for the Independence Day celebrations.
Mr Lokonga called on builders not to block the roads with construction materials.
