EASTERN EQUATORIA PARLIAMENT APPROVES MP’S RESIGNATION

Eastern Equatoria atate Assembly has approved A letter of MP Charles Udwar Uketch resigning from TWO specialized committees.

Mr Udwar last week tendered a letter to the State Assembly expressing his intention to resign from the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Finance Committee and from the Committee of Education, Science and Technology, Emmanuel Radio reported.

The MP claimed that the Assembly denied him the opportunity to move a motion on an urgent and important matter concerning the grievances of his people, the Pari, whom he represents in the Parliament.

Assembly Business Committee under the chair of the state Speaker Ambrose Emmanuel Ocholimoi unanimously accepted the resignation of Mr Udwar.

The Assembly will fill the vacant position within one month.

The Assembly also resolved to form a committee to investigate Mr Udwar for his conduct and violation of the Assembly Conduct of Business by posting his resignation letter on the internet before it was approve by the House.
