JUBA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS RECONCILE TO BUILD PEACE

Juba University students on Saturday made peace with their leaders in through a reconciliation meeting.

Students leaders’ representatives unanimously agreed to reconcile and built peace in the university, Bakhita Radio reported.

Juba University Bible Students Association chairperson Samuel Deng said the purpose of the meeting was to bring the two conflicting bodies to reconcile.

He added that the members agreed to reconcile without preconditions.

Mr Deng called on the students not to encourage tribalism and embrace a culture that unites together the students of Juba University.

Deputy Dean of students William Azaza called upon the students to go and talk to their fellow colleagues who are still in the hostels to leave the premises.

He said some are not students but political representatives spoiling the atmosphere at the university.

Dr Azaza called on the students to unite together to stand for their own rights.

The reconciliation of the students was initiated by the Juba University Bible Students Association co-chaired by the religious affairs committee in the Office of the President.
