Some patients died in Rumbek State Hospital because medical staff refused to attend them.
The charge comes from Shadrack Bol Machok, an MP at the state assembly. He told Good News Radio that he visited the hospital and was shocked with the way doctors and nurses were handling patients.He said that the victims from a road accident were left unattended bleeding by doctors and nurses for too long.
The state MP accused the staff of being responsible for some deaths at Rumbek State Hospital due to neglect.
Mr Bol said Health is among the best funded ministries in the state.
He explained that money was allocated to improve facilities and hire qualified personnel.
Mr Bol urged the State Government to address inefficiencies at the State hospital to be able to improve delivery of medical services to Lakes State residents.
He advocated the layoff of staff who do not care for patients.
