Members of the national parliament are busy mulling over the budget numbers presented last week by the Government to dig through a thick document of hundreds of pages.

The National Auditor General was scheduled to present the 2008 Audit report today to the parliament but it was postponed.

National Legislative Assembly Clerk Othom Rago Ajak told CRN that the budget is top priority according to the House regulations and nothing else can be discussed until it is passed.

He explained the scrutinizing process involves all the specialized committees.

Mr Rago added the budget will probably return to the House for deliberations next week.
