Yei women are calling for equal participation towards development in the county.
The chair lady of Yei River County Women Association, Sara Natalino, appreciated the role played by women during the general elections and the peaceful referendum in the country.She explained that since independence women have fully participated in development through businesses, agriculture and construction.
Mama Sarah appealed to both men and women to unit and contribute together to support the infant Government in all sectors of development.
She called upon the Government to recognize the role of women.
Mama Sarah urged men to stop domestic violence against women in the county and nationwide.
She said it is a collective responsibility of every citizen to clean up Yei to get ready for Independence Day celebrations.
