The Swedish minister for International Development Cooperation, Gunillia Carlssom, said the south Sudan Anti-corruption commission must be independent to serve efficiently.

Ms. Carlssom made these remarks yesterday during her tour to south Sudan to inspect the programmes supported by her government.

Among these is the Anti-Corruption and Health sectors.

Ms. Carlssom acknowledged that most of the programmes have been successfully implemented, especially the mid-wifely training programme.
