A newly ordained priest has urged South Sudanese to reconcile with one another.
Pascal Mude Emmanuel was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday in Yei and presided his first mass yesterday in St Joseph-Lutaya parish, Radio Easter reported.He discouraged tribalism and segregation in the country and urged people to forgive and reconcile with one another starting with the elders.
Fr Pascal appealed to the people to reflect on their lives.
He said Christians should be Jesus’ messengers like John the Baptist.
Fr Pascal appealed to the Christians to be content with whatever they have and who they are.
Fr Pascal’s ordination ended a ten-year fast without new priests for the diocesan clergy of Yei.
